hands, feet, ankles, wrists, neck, upper chest,

Hidradenitis Suppurativa
Hidradenitis suppurativa is a skin condition that causes small, painful lumps to form under the skin. The lumps can break open, or tunnels can form under the skin. The condition mostly affects areas where the skin rubs together, such as the armpits, groin, buttocks, and breasts.

Hidradenitis suppurativa tends to start after puberty. It can persist for many years and worsen over time, with serious effects on your daily life and emotional well-being.

Symptoms Include:
– Blackheads often appearing in pairs are a
common feature.
– Painful pea-sized lumps usually found in areas
such as the armpits, groin, and anal area. They
also occur where skin rubs together, such as the
inner thighs, breasts, and buttocks.
– Tunnels/tracts connecting the lumps may form
under the skin. These wounds heal
very slowly, if at all, and can leak pus, which may
have an odor.

Participants Must
– Be 18-75 years old
– Have been diagnosed with HS for at least a year
– Have two or more affected areas
– Not have a current infection
– Other requirements may be needed.

Prurigo Nodularis
Prurigo nodularis (PN) is a skin disease that causes hard, itchy lumps (nodules) to form on the skin. The itching (pruritus) can be intense, causing people to scratch themselves to the point of bleeding or pain. Scratching can cause more skin lesions to appear. The itching is worsened by heat, sweating, or irritation from clothing. The exact cause of PN is unknown. Although scratching is known to cause more nodules to appear, it is unclear what causes the itching to develop in the first place.

Symptoms include:
– formation of hard, very itchy lumps (nodules) on
the skin
– Nodules may be small to about half an inch.
– Nodules often have a rough and dry surface.

Participants Must
– 18 years or older
– Have been diagnosed for at least a year
– Have more than 10 nodules and be located in
different parts of the body
– Other requirements may be needed
